Fiji FA starts conducting Return to Play preparedness and awareness sessions with district teams

The Fiji Football Association has started conducting Return to Play preparedness and awareness sessions the with Nadroga, Nadi, Lautoka and Ba district teams.

Fiji FA says the sessions were concentrated towards the smooth transition from the current de-training period to the gradual preparation progress over the period of 20 days taking into account health and safety, medical, technical, coaches and medical aspects of preparation and participation under safe Covid-19 measures and setting minimum standards to ensure that teams are competition-ready in the safest possible way.

Digicel National Head Coach Flemming Serritslev emphasized on setting minimum guidance for 20 days training window allocated for the teams and how best it could be utilized to prepare a team for the Digicel Premier League as well as training and preparation expectations from the coaching staff.

New Technical Director Timo Jankowski held discussions on the duration of detraining period and the confinement and setting minimum standards for technical, mental and physical preparations when returning to football, the duration of expected return to fitness and return to play and expectations as the new Technical Director.

Fiji FA will be meeting other teams next week.
