The Fiji Correction Services is now concentrating on sheep farming in the North.
Assistant Commissioner of Prisons, Viliame Bulewa said the sheep farming program has already started in Labasa.
Bulewa said one of their focuses for this year was the phasing out of cattle farming.
He said there plans to extend rice farming in the North is also in the pipeline as it is only used for consumption purpose.
He added they also have pine planting in Lautoka and since February 6th they have managed to collect $23,426 in revenue.
Bulewa said the Fiji Corrections Services is also looking at expanding their commercial enterprise projects in the areas of bee keeping, sheep farming pine planting, ginger farming and yasi planting.
