Bainimarama says more than four decades of the friendship between Fiji and China has never waned with both nations bonded by a common and steady recognition of the mutual benefits of bilateralism.

Bainimarama says the bond between Fiji and China was strengthened when the Chinese President, Xi Jinping made a official state visit to Fiji in 2014.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Qian Bo acknowledged the Chinese community and its members for their contributions that they have made over the years in promoting the development of Fiji China progress.
