The Fiji Cancer Society in collaboration with the Pirates Golf Fiji today organized the Telecom Charity Ambrose Golf Tournament to raise funds to purchase portable diagnostic equipment to boost the job done at the Urology Department at CWM Hospital.

Fiji Cancer Society CEO Belinda Chan says they were overwhelmed with the turnout with over 100 participants arriving this morning to participate in the one day tournament.

Chan says they are aiming to raise $20,000 today.

She says the main focus of the event is to raise awareness on men's mental health after seeing the rising cases of prostate cancer in Fiji,

She adds the Fiji Cancer Society has balanced its focus on men also and has put up plans to raise more awareness for the future.

The Telecom Charity Ambrose Golf Tournament Awards will be held at 5pm at the Golf Club in Vatuwaqa.
