The Fiji Babas have been crowned as the new champions of the Fiji Bitter Yalovata 7s after beating BLK Lavidi 15-12 in the cup final this afternoon.
BLK Lavidi Brothers scored an unconverted try to take an early 5-0 lead in the first half.
The Fiji Babas scored an unconverted try two minutes later to level the score at 5-all.
The Fiji Babas scored their second try at the stroke of halftime with the conversion missing to gain the lead 10-5.
The Babas started the second half well with another unconverted try to extend their lead to 15-5.
BLK Lavidi Brothers replied with a converted try 3 minutes later to close the gap to 15-12.
The Fiji Babas defence was well disciplined in the final minutes of the game as the BLK Lavidi Brothers tried to steal a late win.
Meanwhile in the Under 21s division Cup Final, Village boys beat Birdland Brothers 10-0.
