Fiji Airways will operate one of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft for a special flight around Fiji on Fiji Day, to commemorate the country’s 50th Independence Day anniversary.
The National Airline will use this opportunity to both commemorate Fiji’s 50th Independence Day and raise funds for the Fiji Cancer Society.
A rare, low flyover around Albert Park is also planned as part of the Fiji Day official activities programme.
The airline company says funds will be collected from a small number of onboard guests who will make donations for their seats, and all donations will given to the Fiji Cancer Society and used in the fight against breast cancer.
A total of 60 seats in Business Class and ‘Bula Space’ Economy Class will be made available for donations. A number of other activities will be held pre-flight and onboard, to raise awareness around cancer and its impact on Fijians.
This special flight will also fulfil the company’s ‘ready for flight’ storage programme requirements.
Seat allocations for the first 60 guests will be offered as follows:
· 10 x Business Class window seats for a donation of FJ$ 500 each
· 20 x Business Class middle row seats for a donation of FJ$ 400 each
· 30 x Bula Space economy class seats for a donation of FJ$ 300 each
Seats can be booked (in return for donations) by calling Fiji Airways Tabua Club Team on service@tabuaclub.com or 3212410 / 9908373.
