Fiji Airways has signed an interline agreement with Toronto based Porter Airlines, which provides services in Canada and the United States of America, increasing its footprint in North America .
They say visitors will only need one ticket to book and fly from airports serviced by Porter Airlines and connect onto their Fiji Airways flights out of Vancouver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Fiji Airways Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Andre Viljoen says their bookings to and from North America have been strong, collectively making up the second largest group of visitors to Fiji in 2023.
He says many of these guests are flying in from other cities to catch their flights out of the three ports that Fiji Airways serves.
He says this partnership creates easier access, and more travel options for customers travelling to and from the important and growing list of markets Porter serves.
He says families in various parts of the two countries can realistically consider a holiday in Fiji. Fiji is an ideal holiday destination for anyone looking for sun, sand, sea with a vast variety of local experiences and culinary delights. Paradise is closer than people thought possible.
Viljoen adds guests will not have to book separate flights and Porter Airlines take care of their luggage from one check-in counter to another.
Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Porter Airlines, Edmond Eldebs, says this new partnership offers passengers seamless connections between Fiji Airways and Porter at key locations along the West Coast of North America. It improves access for Canadians to destinations across the Pacific, and for passengers originating on Fiji flights to reach points across Eastern Canada.
This provides seamless onwards connections to thirty locations across Canada and the United States.
Porter Airlines with more than sixty aircraft in its fleet provides services to more than 30 destinations across Canada and the United States, with hubs in Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, and Halifax. Passengers flying on Fiji-Porter itineraries can connect in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Vancouver.
