23-year-old Anaseini Sanoko who was crowned Fiji Airways Miss Farmers 2019 wants to advocate on equality since she has witnessed racial discrimination and inequality amongst people.

Sanoko who is a second year Law student says two of her friends who were tertiary students and were from the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer and Intersex community were allegedly murdered.

According to Sanoko, her two friends were allegedly murdered because of who they were and this is why she chose equality as her theme.

Sanoko who is from Field 4, Lovu, Lautoka adds that we live in a multi cultural country but people tend to judge others by their tradition, religion, belief, race and background.

Sanoko says that she will continue to advocate on this issue as people have to be treated equally and respected.

Sanoko says that she has learnt a lot from the Farmers Carnival where she got the opportunity to visit a lot of places.

Meanwhile, Manisha Kumar is the 1st Runner up, Nikhat Nisha is the 2nd Runner up while Ashma Ali is Miss Charity of the Farmers Carnival.

Sanoko, Kumar, Nisha and Ali will get an opportunity to fly overseas and their trips will be sponsored by Fiji Airways.
