Fiji Airways A350 Airbus will raise the standards of travel in the Pacific - PM

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says the Fiji Airways A350 Airbus will raise the standards of travel in the Pacific and will also uplift the countries Tourism sector by providing more employment opportunities for all Fijians.

Speaking at the welcome ceremony in Nadi, Bainimarama says from all his travel experiences, traveling in the Airbus has to be the best he has ever taken.

Bainimarama says while traveling around Viti Levu in this aircraft he saw a new perspective of Fiji and having seen the developments they have done fills him with pride.

He says from the response shown from the people about this new aircraft, it is clear this is more than just an ordinary plane.

He says this aircraft will also connect Fiji to new corners of the world and help further position Fiji as the geo-political hub of the Pacific.

The Prime Minister also joked about the meaning of the word XWB.

Bainimarama also thanked every one that assisted in the purchase of the Fiji Airways A350 Airbus.
