It was an emotional moment for Suva Grammar School student Iva Fifita after winning gold in the senior girls' 100 metres event, and she dedicated her win to her late grandmother.
The year 12 student says the sacrifices her parents and her club have made in the past years have made her successful this year.
The 17-year-old, who is originally from Namuka-i-Lau, says she aims to win the blue ribbon in the upcoming Coca-Cola Games.
She says that her achievement today is also dedicated to her coach and all the former students of Grammar
