The 43 year-old farmer from a settlement in Ba who allegedly attempted to rape an 11-year-old girl on Tuesday has been remanded in custody by the Ba Magistrates Court.
He has been charged with one count of attempted rape.
Police say the man is alleged to have taken the 11-year-old girl to a cassava plantation near the settlement where they both reside in.
They say the victim’s uncle came across the alleged incident and reported the matter to Police.
The case will be called on the 28th of this month.
