Fans set expectations for Flying Fijians to give the best against Wales tomorrow

With less than 24 hours to go for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians to kick off their 2023 Rugby World Cup campaign against Wales, Fijians around Fiji have set their expectations high for the team to perform to the best of their ability tomorrow morning and have sent well wishes to the team as well.

Krishna Kumar who is a market vendor at the Suva Market says Rugby means a lot to the nation and expects a good performance from the Flying Fijians in their opening game.

Kumar says he is looking forward to watching his favourite player Vinaya Habosi.

Sairusi Matadrau from Nakenacagi in Macuata says in Fiji rugby is a sport that every Fijian loves and it unites us as a country.

Matadrau says he is betting on Semi Radradra to put on a show against Wales tomorrow.

Navin Datt from Taveuni says his whole family loves rugby and it is a sport that is grained in our blood as Fijians which makes everyone excited to watch whenever Fiji plays on the field.

Datt says he has faith in the boys that they will make the nation proud with their games in the Rugby World Cup.

Savenaca Warner from Namoli Village in Lautoka says in Fiji, rugby is like a hobby.

He says everywhere you go around Fiji, there will be kids playing this sport in their backyard either with a rugby ball or anything to be used as a rugby ball.

The Flying Fijians will take on Wales at 7am Monday in Bordeaux.
