An early morning fire destroyed a three bedroom house leaving a family of nine homeless today in Navua.
The National Fire Authority has confirmed that at 1:11am today the Navua Fire Station received a call and upon arrival at 1.14am, the house was fully engulfed in flames.
The family was at home when the fire occurred and they managed to get out of the house safely.
Meanwhile, at 11:07 this morning the Navua Fire team was again alerted by Police about another house fire at Thomson Road where a three bedroom corrugated iron and timber house was also destroyed.
Upon arrival the fire team saw that the house was fully engulfed in flames.
NFA says investigations are underway to determine the cause of both fires.
