A family in Vakabalea, Navua is mourning the death of a family member and former parliamentarian, Viliame Volavola after a tragic incident in Vanua Levu.
67 year old Naomi Volavola said she cannot believe what happened to her husband when the message was relayed to her last night.
She said her husband was a caring and loving father who looked after his family well.
Viliame Volavola was a parliamentarian after the 1999 elections.
He is survived by his wife, 10 children and 24 grandchildren.
Meanwhile investigations continue after Volavola drowned while bathing in the Nagadoa river, Bua yesterday afternoon.
He was on a business trip to Dreketi with other workmates when the incident happened.
