Faizul Ariff Ali appointed as acting Governor of Reserve Bank of Fiji

Faizul Ariff Ali has been appointed as the acting Governor of Reserve Bank of Fiji.

President, Jioji Konrote on the advice of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has appointed Faizul Ariff Ali the Governor of Reserve Bank of Fiji following the expiry of the term of Barry Whiteside as the Governor of RBF.

Ali will act as the Governor of the Reserve Bank for a period of 3 months or until a substantive appointment is made.

Ali was the Deputy Governor of RBF.

He will assume his acting position from tomorrow.
