The Fiji Sugar Corporation has announced a fourth cane payment of $15.14 per tonne for 2017 which will be processed today.
This includes $6.30 top up that government has done.
The Corporation says the payment is expected to be deposited in the growers accounts as early as this afternoon.
The latest that the payments will be made is tomorrow morning.
The crushing season for Labasa begins on the 19th of next month and this payment will assist farmers in preparing for it.
FSC says a final cane payment which is called the “Washout Payment” will be made in October.
