The Fiji Rugby Union says they are ready to conquer Perth as the Fiji Airways men's and women's teams have departed today to take part in the inaugural HSBC Perth SVNS tournament.
After a positive outing at the McDonald's Fiji Coral Coast tournament yesterday, the men's side is optimistic of a good performance.
Ropate Rere will be a man to watch out for as he is gearing up for his first-ever tournament this week.
Fiji will kick off their campaign against Samoa at 6.38pm on Friday, before playing France in their second pool game at 11.31pm.
The national 7s side will then play rivals New Zealand at 5.25pm Saturday in their final pool match.
The cup quarter finals will start at 10.10pm Saturday.
The Cup semi finals are at 5.10pm Sunday while the cup final is at 9.53pm Sunday.
The Fiji Men’s team is currently third on the series with 30 points.
Argentina is leading the series table with 38 points while South Africa is in second place with 30 points.
Meanwhile the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team will play Brazil at 4pm on Friday in their first pool game before facing Spain at 8.47pm.
The Fijiana will face France at 2.22pm next Saturday in their last pool game.
The women’s cup quarter finals are at 7.26pm Saturday.
The women’s cup semi finals will be at 4.22pm Sunday with the cup final at 9.13pm.
The Fijiana are currently fourth on the standings after 2 tournaments.
The HSBC Perth SVNS is from this Friday to Sunday.
