Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O'Connor says they are hoping to get clearance for Terio Tamani by tomorrow as he holds a critical position in the Fiji Men's 7s team.
O'Connor says Tamani is instrumental in kick-offs and is one of the fittest players in the national squad.
Tamani and Kavekini Tabu’s visa applications have been delayed and they could not travel with the team last night.
Tevita Daugunu and Iowane Ratu have travelled with the team as replacements.
The first Dubai 7s competition will be held from Friday to Sunday.
Fiji will face France at 7.22pm on Friday and will take on Canada at 10.52pm in the second game. Fiji will take on Australia at 3.33am Saturday in their last pool game.
