The Fiji Rugby Union Special General Meeting is currently underway with discussions focused on the 2021 rugby season.
There will be specific discussions on providing support to help prepare the Fiji Airways men’s and women's 7s teams for the Tokyo Olympics which is scheduled at this stage to take place in July.
World Rugby has already provided relief funding for FRU for the Fiji 7s teams Olympics preparation.
The maximum a team could apply for is about US$100,000
FRU President and Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, Chairman Conway Beg, CEO John O’Connor and other rugby officials from different clubs, districts and provinces are present at the meeting.
