An attempt to produce paper out of onion peels, kava kosa, wild flowers and sugar cane has proved to be a successful one for an organization in Lautoka.
The executive director for FRIEND Fiji Sashi Kiran said they have employed people at their office to do the work while some people also work from home.
Kiran said they have also tried their hand on the trunk of banana trees to make paper and it has been a success.
She said the work is done on a small scale and they will consider going big if more companies show interest.
