The Fiji Roads Authority is looking closely at the relocation of the Natuvu Jetty in Cakaudrove as it is utilized by the people of Taveuni and the nearby islands.
Divisional Planning Officer Northern, Alipate Bolalevu says the important issue here is the safety of the people and how best they can find a solution for the jetty.
Bolalevu says the jetty is located in a private property but they have found a new site in Vunikura in Cakaudrove which is expected to be surveyed by FRA and the Maritime Safety Authority.
Meanwhile negotiation for the project has been ongoing for the last three years.
