Major projects around the country for roads, bridges and jetties have been planned by the Fiji Roads Authority for the 2017-2018 financial year.
$84 million has been allocated by the Fiji Roads Authority for the renewal and replacement of roads and services.
The major roads to be resealed in 2017-2018 include Nasese road, Amy street, Khalsa road, Mead road, Milverton road, Brown street in Samabula, roads in Narere and side roads in Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and Labasa.
The road from the Votualevu Roundabout to Wailoaloa road Roundabout upgrading project will also be done in 2017-2018 as $55 million has been allocated for this project.
$13.2 million has been allocated for the Nakasi to Nausori Bridge roundabout road upgrading project.
$30 million has been allocated to upgrade bridges in 2017-2018.
Major projects that will continue to be upgraded include Vatuwaqa bridge, Stinson Parade bridge, Lami bridge, Nasese bridge, Walu Bay bridge, Tamavua-i-wai bridge and Labasa bridge.
