Almost 9 derelict vehicles placed near Naboro along the Queens Highway have been removed by the Fiji Roads Authority.
FRA says these vehicles were placed on the road reserve without any permit from FRA.
They further say as they posed an imminent threat to the safety of all road users, they were removed at the owner’s cost.
FRA adds it is important to note that prior to the removal of the vehicle, the owner is given a chance to remove it voluntarily.
It also says if they fail to do so, all derelict vehicles on the road reserve will be removed and all cost relating to such removal, storage, and all associated costs will be invoiced to the owner.
