Fiji National University dental students will get the opportunity to gain experience and exposure outside of their normal learning environment as they will now be providing dental services to children at the Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Dental Centre.
This is after the Sai Prema Foundation and FNU signed a partnership which ensures that the Sai Sanjeevani Heart Centre will also have a dental centre.
FNU College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Services Head, Osea Dukunu says the partnership will encourage the exchange of ideas, expertise and knowledge.
Dukunu has thanked the Foundation for renovating their dental caravan and providing all the medications required for dental procedures.
Sai Prema Foundation Director Sumeet Tappoo says the dental centre will be exclusively for children and all services will be free of cost.
Tappoo adds they have realized the need to have dental as part of their healthcare initiatives and has acknowledged FNU for the initiative.
