The Fiji National University has pledged its full support for the Coalition Government’s national development plan moving forward.
During a visit to the FNU Nasinu Campus by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, FNU Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba says they promise to move with the government and carve a future in the Fijian Government's vision.
Professor Baba says FNU understands the horizon the government is taking, and FNU will take the same horizon.
She also reaffirmed the FNU’s commitment to advancing higher education in Fiji.
While delivering his speech, Prime Minister Rabuka encouraged students at FNU to arm themselves with quality education to navigate societal changes and achieve success in life.
He also emphasised the importance of education in shaping the future of the younger generation.
Rabuka says the students are in an institution of learning and are being taught by people who have gone through this process.
He adds change is natural and there is always a path to recovery.
Rabuka urged the students to not give up, keep going and graduate as the sky is not the limit but heaven is.
The PM was honoured with a full traditional ceremony of welcome by the university staff followed by a presentation led by the Vice Chancellor.
