Fiji National University has assisted 11 more private students with their tuition fees through the University’s Student Bursary Scheme.
A total of $1,000 tuition assistance will be given to each student for Semester 2 this year.
The university assisted 19 private students under the same scheme during Semester 1 this year.
A recipient of the scheme, Shazna Begum says COVID-19 has brought many challenges, especially impacting employment and earning capacity.
She says this assistance will not only ease her financial burden but will also motivate her to work diligently towards achieving her dreams.
FNU’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Toby Wilkinson says they are pleased to be able to give these bursaries to help students through their studies.
