Daksesh Patel and Mukhtar Ali are the new Directors of the Fiji National Provident Fund Board.

Patel is the current Chairman of Energy Fiji Limited while Ali is the Chief Operating Officer of the Community Bank of the Bay in Oakland, California.

Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has made the appointments.

Sanjay Kaba who is an engineer and has extensive experience in project management and development has also returned to the FNPF Board.

Daksesh Patel takes on the leadership role from Ajith Kodagoda as the FNPF Board Chairman from today.

Ali’s appointment is also effective from today.

These appointments follow the retirement of Ajith Kodagoda and Tevita Kuruvakadua who have served two consecutive terms on the FNPF Board.

The FNPF says Patel and Ali are highly regarded and respected professionals who will help the Fund position itself to take maximum advantage of continued growth in all areas of its business and ensure sustainability of the FNPF members’ retirement savings.
