Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem

The Fijian Elections Office has managed to successfully provide voter registration services to 173,069 individuals in 43 days.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem says this figure includes 17,354 new registrations and the remainder is either correction or upgrade of voter card.

He says they have already surpassed their 150,000 target and their new target is going to be 200,000.

Saneem stresses that their Nationwide Voter Registration Drive ends on Thursday.

Saneem says businesses that have staff who will be required to work on Election Day should contact the FEO Postal Voting team so they can arrange for an awareness session.

He says the FEO is directly approaching these stakeholders instead of waiting for them to apply for Postal Voting.

Saneem confirms the Fijian Elections Office has extended its stay in some areas in the Central Division today.
