The officers of the monitoring team of the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission will not be in their uniforms this festive season when they will be visiting shops to monitor compliance as they do not want traders to be alerted.
CEO, Joel Abraham says their officers will only have the identification cards and will enter shops and observe business practice and also see whether consumers are doing necessary checks before purchasing items.
Abraham says they will not only have their monitoring team out but will also be rostering all of their other staff to be out and about in various areas to get maximum coverage.
