The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has acknowledged P. Meghji Trading Pte Ltd for reducing prices of a range of food and non-food items.
This follows the commencement of their 40th Anniversary Grand Warehouse Sale today, and which runs through to November 3rd.
FCCC CEO, Joel Abraham says they commend P. Meghji for these reduced prices during their sale period.
Abraham also emphasizes that consumers need to be vigilant and shop responsibly, especially during festive seasons.
He assures consumers that FCCC will monitor supply chains and conduct of traders in the market – from the importer, to wholesalers, to retailers.
Abraham says reductions in duties and taxes, as announced by the Government in the 2020/2021 National Budget, serves to foster more economic activity, and businesses must pass on these benefits to their customers.
