Fiji Revenue and Customs Service CEO, Mark Dixon says the 2021-22 Revised Budget requires a “Team Fiji” approach where the Government departments are working together with industries and businesses to implement the budget outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.
Dixon says they understand the transition may take a bit of time, for some businesses and their aim is to help every business to achieve compliance.
He is calling on businesses to reach out for assistance from either FRCS or FCCC.
The FRCS and FCCC met with the Suva Retailers Association where all participants discussed clarification of the VAT changes and focused on working together to resolve any technical implementation issues.
Dixon says the revised budget incorporated a number of policies that provides significant relief to the ordinary Fijians in the wake of inflationary pressure induced by the prolonged impact of the pandemic, disruptions in global supply chain and rising freight costs.
