Extend a hand to help the needy and enjoy the festival with responsibility towards the vulnerable members of our community.

This is the message from the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Rosy Akbar this Diwali.

She says there maybe many families who may not be celebrating Diwali this year and therefore we must celebrate this festival in the true sense by spreading joy, sharing and lighting up the spirits of others.

She adds may the spirit of oneness and multiculturalism be renewed this Diwali and continue to thrive within our homes and our hearts.
