Expect a shortage of disposable eTransport cards in the next 4 months due to the Novel Coronavirus outbreak in China.
In a statement, Vodafone Fiji says due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, many areas in China, including factories are in lockdown mode.
It says as a result of this, there are delays in production and shipping of disposable cards to Fiji.
Vodafone Fiji says this is expected to affect the travelling public for the next 3 to 4 months until supply normalises.
The company says disposable cards stock are currently running low and they anticipate an out of stock situation from next month onwards until they receive new stock on hand.
Vodafone Fiji says under normal circumstances, they would have had sufficient stock to cater for the anticipated demand during this period however given the current virus outbreak and measures enforced by the Chinese government, extended delays could be expected.
They are asking people to get a permanent card during this period and also top up their cards and plan properly to avoid travel disappointments.
