People need to be prepared for a wet Easter weekend as a flash flood alert is still in force for all low-lying and flash flood-prone areas of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole Fiji group.
The Nadi Weather Office says an active trough of low pressure with cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji, which is expected to move eastwards and located to the east of the country by Sunday.
Meanwhile, a northerly wind flow prevails over the country.
People can expect periods of rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms for the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, which are expected to gradually ease from later tomorrow.
For the rest of Fiji, there will be occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms, and rain will become more frequent today before easing to showers later tomorrow.
The Weather Office says there can also be flash flooding of some low-lying informal settlements and communities, businesses and Irish Crossings, which may lead to traffic disruptions.
People can also expect surface flooding on streets, particularly in urban areas with poor drainage systems and reduced visibility.
