Expect a bigger and better 'Adi Natuicake Festival'

The Adi Natuicake Festival is expected to be bigger and better this year after a lapse of 13 years for the people of Lau.

This was highlighted by the Roko Tui Lau Paula Delaivuna who says that the 13 districts from the Lau Group have revived the Adi Natuicake Festival with the hope to develop the lives of people on their islands.

He says the larger districts are expected to collect 15,000 and smaller districts to collect $10,000.

Delaivuna says the festival will also contribute towards the development of every Tikinas through investment.

The Adi Natuicake Festival will showcase different items such as meke, handcraft skills, food and costumes from the 13 districts to revive and pass on knowledge to those that do not or have not been to the Province of Lau.

Delaivuna says money will be returned to all their respective tikinas in respect to the investments of daily living.

The festival is a fundraising event which will be held from Wednesday to Friday at Kauvesi Park in Raiwai, Suva.

People of Lau throughout Fiji are looking forward to this event as it had a lapse of 13 years.
