United thought they had claimed all three points after Scott McTominay headed in their third goal but Calvert-Lewin struck late to deny them the chance to go level on points with league leaders Manchester City.
Man City leads the points table with 47 points while United are second with 45.
In other matches, Aston Villa beat Arsenal 1-0 while Newcastle beat Southampton 3-2.
