Police have now activated some evacuation centres in the Qauia and Veisari area.
DISMAC said they have taken this action due to the flooding of settlements in Qauia and the low lying areas of Veisari.
They said the evacuation centres that are open in this area are Qauia Church Hall, Naivikinikini Community Hall, LDS Church Qauia, Chauhan Memorial School and St Thomas Aquinas Primary School.
DISMAC is calling on people who are affected to move to these evacuation centres.
