Etzebeth to captain the South Africa side in Rugby Championship match opener against Wallabies

Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth will be captaining the South African side in their Rugby Championship match opener against the Wallabies this Sunday.

Etzebeth takes over the captaincy from regular skipper Siya Kolisi, who is recovering from a knee injury and this means this will be Etzebeth’s 12th Test as Springboks captain.

Rynhardt Elstadt and scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies will make their Test debuts while prop Lizo Gqoboka will earn his debut off the bench this Saturday.

Elstadt will start in the number 6 jersey and Janties on the number 9 jersey.

The Springboks will face the Wallabies at 3.05am Sunday.
