After six years of enjoying rugby with the Crusaders team, Ethan Blackadder has re-signed with the five title-winning champion and New Zealand Rugby until 2025.
Blackadder joined the Crusaders in 2018 and debuted for the All Blacks against Tonga in 2021 and has played nine tests for his country.
The loose forward says staying with the Crusaders will be special for him because he loves to play rugby for the club and is also excited to continue to be a part of the Crusaders team because they have a great culture on and off the field.
Crusaders Head Coach Scott Robertson says Blackadder is a versatile player who had made a huge impact on their team since 2018 when he joined.
Robertson says Blackadder represents everything that the Crusaders are, strong, humble and a team player, and he shows a lot of care for his club and his teammates.
Crusaders coach says to have him locked in until 2025 is huge for the club and their country.
