Escaped prisoner Lemeki Tupali

Escaped prisoner Lemeki Tupali has been recaptured from Wailea Settlement in the last hour by a joint task force comprising of Police and Fiji Corrections Service Officers.

Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho thanked the joint task force for working around the clock to ensure Tupali’s arrest.

Police also acknowledged the support of the people in the sharing of information resulting in Tupali's arrest.

Qiliho has also directed investigators to arrest those involved in harbouring Tupali.
