Adi Cakobau School coach Antonio Raboiliku says its an emotional moment for them as they successfully defended the Girls Division title in the Coca Cola Games securing 13 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze.
Raboiliku has been with ACS for seven years and has won six titles for the ACS team.
He thanks the Lord, stakeholders, parents, teachers, former students and students who came out to support the school but most importantly the athletes that have worked so hard.
He adds he will take it one step at a time as far as his future plans are concerned.
He says its a God given talent to coach and its something he loves as enjoys working with athletes especially children nurturing them to make them champions.
Grammar finished in second place in the Girls Division with 4 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze, Jasper is in third place with 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze while Saint Joseph’s Secondary is in fourth place with 4 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze.
It was a perfect farewell gift for Suva Grammar coach and former Fijian sprinter, Jone Delai as Grammar secured the Coca Cola Games Boys Division title after winning 11 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze.
Grammar last won in 2011.
It came down to the 4x400 metres relays to determine the winner as it was a close contest between Grammar and QVS.
Delai says they had a plan in place but they could not execute that in the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However he says they have done it this year.
Delai has also paid tribute to the former students of the school for backing the team at the Coca Cola Games.
Team Manager Akuila Wainiqolo says the school has been working hard to bring the title back.
He also talked about how two of their athletes dived at the finish line to win gold.
QVS finished in second place with 9 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze, RKS is in third place with 6 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze, Natabua is in fourth place with 3 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze, MGM is in fifth place with 3 gold and 1 silver while Marist is in sixth place with 2 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze.
