Emoni Narawa who has links to Fiji is raring to go for the new Super Rugby season.
Narawa was part of the Queen Victoria School team that won the Deans title in 2016.
Narawa is preparing for his first season with the Auckland Blues and said training has been heating up during the hot summer days.
Patrick Tuipulotu will captain the Blues in 2020, having previously shared the role with Blake Gibson.
The Blues begin their Super Rugby season against the Chiefs next Friday at 6.05pm at Eden Park.
