59-year-old Eloni Salagi from Naseyani Village in Ra, has been selling mangoes during the season for over 30 years, this has been one of the major source of income to support his family.
Salagi says his journey began at the age of 15 years and over the years his dedication has paid off where he has built his family home, purchased cows, horses and three vehicles to transport his produce to the market.
The 59-year-old says during off-season he utilises the land to plant vegetables and other crops, to ensure a steady income.
He says he now owns 6 to 7 dozen cows and about 6 dozen of horses.
Salagi emphasised that there are no excuses for not earning enough money as there are plenty of resources and innovative ideas that can be used to make a living.
