Eight teams have been confirmed for the RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings International Veterans Tournament that will be held this weekend at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Yusuf, says this tournament officially started in 2014 mainly for the well-being of the players who have stopped playing at senior level.

Yusuf says they want to ensure that retired players remain fit through such competition.

He also acknowledged the support from their sponsors RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings.

The defending champions New Zealand Lautoka are in Group A along with Nasinu Legends, Rewa Masters and Legend FC Nadi.

Meanwhile, Group B consists of Labasa Lionz New Zealand, Rewa Legends, JK Nadi and Nadi Masters.

The tournament winner will receive $4,000 while runner-up will receive $2,000.
