A concern raised by Health authorities are that eggs must be kept in a healthy environment.
This is following a stakeholders meeting held between the Ministry of Health, industries and correctional services that also produce eggs for commercial use.
Health Ministry spokesman, Peni Namotu said that improper storage of eggs could present health risks for people.
A proper storage he highlights is keeping eggs away from direct sunlight.
This too he says is in line with the Food Safety Act 2003 and Food Safety Regulation 2009.
