Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur has made a big call, swinging the axe on try-scoring winger Maika Sivo ahead of their NRL round 7 clash against the North Queensland Cowboys this weekend.
Though Sivo scored both of the Eels tries in the side’s 41-8 thrashing at the hands of the Canberra Raiders last weekend, the 30-year-old did not offer too much after just gaining 79 metres from 11 runs.
Arthur has moved Sivo to the reserves this weekend and has also made some big moves with young gun Blaize Talagi also dumped to the reserves with Daejarn Asi coming into five-eighth.
The Eels are currently sitting in 14th place in the overall points table after a not-so-good start to their season with 2 wins and 3 losses so far in their last 5 games.
Dolphins, Cowboys, Storm and Sharks currently sit at the top 4 of the points table with 8 points each.
