Education Minister and Read to Lead Fiji deliver stationery supplies

Minister for Education Dr. Mahendra Reddy and Read to Lead Fiji today delivered stationery supplies for students of Dawasamu District School who were affected by Cyclone Winston.

Dawasamu District School has a class roll of 188 students in the Tailevu District.

Around 32 houses sustained damages in Silana, 25 houses sustained damages in Nasinu, while over 40 houses were damaged in Nataleira in Dawasamu.

The backpacks include exercise books, pencils, pens, ruler and maths sets.

The Ministry of Education has also launched an appeal together with Read to Lead Fiji to assist the students affected by Cyclone Winston.
