The dux of Suva Muslim College, Ansar Abbas Ali, first wants to acknowledge his achievements to Allah, after scooping the overall prize.
At the annual prize-giving yesterday, 51 students of Year 13 graduated and also Year 2 Vocational students.
Ali who is the eldest in the family said he has to set the standard to his 2 siblings and other students, that is to stay focused.
Ali’s plans to study at the University of the South Pacific, majoring in economics.
Meanwhile the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Sofia Rosy Akbar reminded the students the stand that the government has taken about the seriousness over the provision of quality education, necessitated by quality teachers.
Akbar told the students that the certificate that they received is really just the learner’s permit for the rest of the drive-through life.
