The Spain Men's 7s team have defied all odds and qualified for the HSBC Dubai 7s semifinals after defeating Great Britain 19-14 in a nail-biting first cup quarter final.
The game went down to the final minutes, where Spain's Roberto Ponce dived over the try line to put them through to the semi finals.
Other tries for Spain came from Francisco Cosculluela and Pol Pla.
New Zealand is currently playing South Africa in the second quarter final, the Fiji Men's 7s will meet France at 7.32 tonight, and Argentina will play Australia at 7.54 tonight in the last quarter final.
The men’s cup semi finals will kick off at 10.06 tonight and the cup final will be at 4.11am tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side will take on China in the 9th-place playoff at 9 tonight.
