The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s halfback Terio Tamani scored a hatrick to help Fiji secure a 40-5 win over France in their second match of the Dubai 7s.
The French side started well scoring the first try in the 2nd minute through Stephen Parez Edo with the conversion missing to take a 5-0 lead.
Fiji found their feet and came back stronger scoring three converted tries to captain Joseva Talacolo, Terio Veilawa and Pilipo Bukayaro to take a 21-5 lead which was the score at halftime.
Fiji put on the accelerator in the second half scoring three more tries through Veilawa who scored two tries and Rubeni Kabu.
Fiji had a more disciplined defence later in the game that stopped France from scoring anymore points.
Fiji will take on Great Britain at 3.50am in their last pool match tomorrow.
The Men's cup quarter finals will begin at 6.58pm tomorrow, the cup semi finals will kick off at 10.04pm tomorrow and the final will be at 3.53am Monday.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s side will play New Zealand at 1.35am tomorrow in their final pool match.
The Women's Cup quarter finals will kick off at 5.30pm tomorrow, the semi finals will be at 9.20pm tomorrow and the final will be at 3.13am Monday
